I love nothing better than a hike in the mountains, a walk about the town square and visiting galleries and museums. All the while wearing a watercolor travel locket for any spur of the moment quickly worked watercolor image. If I don’t want to wear my locket I’ll carry it in a small travel pouch with preferred paper and water brushes. A 0.3 technical pencil with a kneaded eraser helps for those necessary quick and tiny details.
This post is strictly for the watercolor travel locket with six standard watercolors. Those colors are: cinchweed yellow, north light magenta, mixtec anil2, solar sunflower, virginia creeper and toltec umbre dark. As a gift I do include a linen or muslin long strung bag for those fun walk abouts for painting en plein aire.
The necklace is nickel free, sterling parts and bead, antique metal ribbon and tin watercolor tin. Chain length is 32” with a quartz bead on sterling twisted stem and slips over the head. The whole ensemble is 36” in total length.
